Season 15 rewards players who stop treating every activity as a general-purpose grind. The right route depends on what your character needs today: Mythic Uniques, gold, XP, Runes, Gems, crafting materials, or boss keys. You'll notice the difference quickly. A fast run that pays out the wrong resource still wastes time, especially once upgrade costs start climbing. Keep your Diablo 4 Items goals in mind, then choose content that supports them. Escalation Nightmare Dungeons are flexible, Worldstone Keep is efficient for Primeval rewards and Gem Fragments, Helltides help with experience and keys, and Lair Bosses remain the clearest choice when you're chasing a particular Unique. The strongest routine isn't a single dungeon repeated forever; it's a rotation that changes with your next upgrade.
Echo of Tristram and Primeval Farming
Echo of Tristram is the big material sink in this season, but its rewards can justify the cost. The encounter pits you against the three Prime Evils and may drop several Mythic items, the Hellfire Torch Mythic Charm, and a guaranteed Unique-rarity socketable Splinter. Access takes work. You'll need to find all 10 Deckard Cain journals across the open world, then speak with Cain to unlock Tristram. The portal also needs Wirt's Lucky Coins, crafted in the Horadric Cube from Terror, Destruction, and Hatred Primeval Splinters. There's a practical concern here: the portal may sometimes fail to open the encounter after the coins are used. Check that the activity is working reliably before spending valuable materials. Diablo in the Labyrinth drops Terror, Baal in Worldstone Keep drops Destruction, and Mephisto in Durance of Hate drops Hatred. Baal is often the quickest repeat run.
Turn Nightmare Dungeons Into Resource Runs
Escalation Nightmare Dungeons are where you can make the biggest adjustment to your farming route. Put three points into the Nightmare Dungeon War Plan to unlock branching paths, then read the available Sigil Affixes before you enter. The third floor usually offers the most focused rewards, so don't rush past it just for a slightly faster clear. Materials Reserved is the affix to watch when Masterworking materials or Tuning Prisms are running low. Kulian Tuning Prisms can take more effort, and a useful route is the Greater Tribute of Ingenuity in Corrupted Undercity with the right gold bargain. Exposed Roots from Tree of Whispers activities can help as well. When gold matters more than materials, Vile Splendor adds extra gold to Elite drops. Combine it with Gold Find from gear, seasonal Splinters, and the Ral Rune, then clear dense packs instead of wandering through empty corridors.
Build a Rotation for Gems, Runes, and Keys
Worldstone Keep earns its place in a regular rotation for more than one reason. The first boss can drop six Royal Gems, and dismantling them creates Gem Fragments for later crafting. Reset the dungeon and repeat the fight when Gems are the resource holding your build back. Helltides fill a different gap. High Threat levels and special monster spawns can lead to Lair Keys, letting you move through regular, Greater, and Superior versions as your stock grows. The Lair of Plenty War Plan also makes boss sessions more worthwhile by raising Monster Power and adding another Hoard Chest. Runes have their own routes: use the Harmony Tribute in Undercity for Classic Runes, choose the suitable Lair War Plan for boss drops, and look to Primeval bosses on Hell difficulty for the Unique Runes introduced this season. Worldstone Keep and Baal are especially convenient when you want repeated attempts without a long setup.
Final Thoughts
Mythic Uniques are still easiest to pursue through focused Lair Boss farming, although Echo of Tristram, Mythic Armaments Tributes, Echo of Hatred, and seasonal reputation caches can add more chances. If a run gives you a duplicate Mythic, salvage it for Resplendent Sparks rather than letting it sit unused, then put those Sparks toward another random Mythic Unique. Obols deserve attention too. The Purveyor of Curiosities can help you chase a slot-specific base or Legendary Aspect, while the Obols Reserved affix supplies a larger pile for that purpose. A simple routine might use Helltides for XP and keys, Nightmare Dungeons for gold or crafting supplies, Worldstone Keep for Splinters and Gems, and Lair Bosses for Unique hunting. When your build needs better cheap Diablo IV Items, this approach keeps each session tied to a clear upgrade instead of sending you into content that only fills your inventory. Change the route when the goal changes, and the grind feels far less wasteful.
